A unique mug with the distinctive face of a Highland Cow on it: doesn't that sound great? The Scottish Highlander or the Highland Cow is not only one of my favourite animals, which is why I have designed four different types of Scottish Highlanders and put them on four different mugs.
I threw the mugs on the pottery wheel and gave them a nice handle. Then I made plaster molds of four different Highland Cows and used them to create the heads. I mounted these on the mugs, fired the mugs, then glazed them with a glossy glaze on the inside and a matte speckled glaze on the outside.

To be honest, the mugs are unfortunately warped at the top rim and are no longer 100% round. You can also see this in the photos. They are otherwise fully functional, just no longer perfectly round. Unfortunately, this sometimes happens with handmade work. The price of these mugs has therefore been adjusted for this imperfection, so this is your moment to get a handmade mug at a bargain price.
